optimization package completed
Once vBulletin 3.7.0 is final, I will need 2 beta testers, who will try my optimization package. This is a package that requires server software modifications, as well vBulletin physical file edits. Therefor, it is intended to a very small number of vBulletin users, which does not fit the current average vBulletin.org user.
The package contains several server software optimizations, an aggressive cache system as well a full Sphinx Search implementation with all vBulletin search options.
There are no plans for me to release the above described software as any type of licensed software. In other words, I will not release the above mentioned package as a product that complements vBulletin, or replaces it’s main functionality. It is against their TOS.
However, since this is an industrial grade product, companies (only) can contact me if they want to improve their server performance by 30-50% and ameliorate their users experiences online.
You must encounter the following conditions:
1. You must have a registered/incorporated company and are ready to sign an NDA for code confidentiality and non-distribution of my work.
2. You have a network administrator who will follow my instructions, at letter.
3. Your OS must be CentOS 5.x 64 bits.
4. Your board must have over 20 millions posts and a minimum of 1,500 users online.
5. Your board must run vBulletin 3.7.x software.
The 2 beta testers will not invest any amount of money in the package. In fact, they will start saving money due to the improved performance. Tests will be performed for a period of one month. During that time, the server status will be closely monitored, in order to properly evaluate any negative impact. Once the testing period completed, the testers can keep the software installed into their cluster, if they agree to post a real testimonial of their experiences while working with my company.
