TechCrunh was blogging about how big is the number of IE6 users, in February. Right now we are at 28.9%, a small decrease. This is what I really think, about the IE6 upgrade issue.

My logic is that many of those IE6 users “own” pirated Windows XP versions, or are computer illiterate enough to ever think there is another browser alternative, beside IE. The best example is at my day job, lead developer to a really famous telecommunications company. 60% of my clients never heard of Firefox. When I do a screen share to present some new web software, I hear comments like: “Haha so funny this name Mozilla, what is that?” So don’t be surprised that IE6 will still reign for a long time, unfortunatelly.
